A reliable platform to control revenues produced by long-journey line buses. SICR system comprises the following elements: a machine-learning-based video counter to detect the quantity of persons getting in/out of the bus, a GPS real-time tracker to correlate the video captured data with geo-information, and a proprietary storage and analytics system that calculates the corresponding generated revenues according to the price per journey or per fragment of journey and the number of occupants in the bus.
In regards to hardware, I developed a custom carrier board for a R-PI 3 computing module. A simple standard case was designed and 3d-printed. Unfortunately, these design files were lost. I needed to develop some simple drivers for I2C sensors and the people counting algorithm. You can find the sources of all implemented in the R-PI here.
